We collect the following categories of personal information: (a) Identity Information — name, date of birth, Social Security Number, government-issued ID; (b) Contact Information — phone number, email address, mailing address; (c) Financial Information — transaction history, funding and withdrawal details; (d) Device Information — device type, operating system, IP address, push notification tokens; (e) Usage Information — app usage patterns, feature interactions, and session data.
We use your information to: provide and improve the Monet service; verify your identity and prevent fraud; process transactions and send notifications; comply with legal and regulatory obligations including Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements; calculate and distribute referral rewards; communicate with you about your account; and send marketing communications (which you may opt out of at any time).
We share your information with: (a) Rain Cards, Inc., our card issuance and payment services partner, for identity verification, card issuance, transaction processing, and regulatory compliance; (b) Circle Internet Financial, LLC, as the issuer of USDC, to the extent required for fund custody and conversion; (c) service providers who assist in operating our platform, under confidentiality agreements; (d) law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law; and (e) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest, and strict access controls. Your SSN, full card numbers, and sensitive financial credentials are never stored on Monet's servers — they are transmitted directly to and held by Rain Cards, Inc. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
You have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention requirements); opt out of marketing communications; and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a period thereafter as required by applicable law. Financial records are typically retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by applicable regulations. Upon account deletion, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
Our mobile application does not use browser cookies. We may use mobile analytics tools to collect anonymized usage data to improve our service. You may opt out of analytics collection in your device settings.
Monet is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification or email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of Monet after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
