How to use Monet MCP

Connect once. Then ask in plain English.

You do not need to learn payment or crypto APIs yourself. Add Monet to an MCP-compatible client, then describe the outcome you want.

Create your MCP key

In the Monet app, open Profile → Security → API keys → Monet MCP. Create a key, then copy the complete setup while it is shown.

Add Monet to your agent

Open your client’s MCP or integrations settings, add a remote HTTP server, and save your Monet connection details in its secure credential fields.

Start with discovery or a quote

Search for a token or ask for a transfer destination and amount. Monet returns live route details and the next safe step.

Review, then confirm

Ask the agent to prepare the transfer or swap. Check the exact result it shows you and explicitly confirm only when you are ready for money to move.

- monet_prepare_swap: save one immutable quote and swap intent with a stable idempotency key.
- monet_execute_swap: execute the identical prepared swap only after explicit user confirmation, using the same key.
- monet_get_swap_status: poll the original intent after processing or an uncertain result; never create a new key to retry.

Required crypto workflow:
1. Discover the exact token contract and pool with monet_search_tokens or monet_get_token.
2. Quote with monet_quote_swap.
3. Prepare with monet_prepare_swap and one stable idempotency key.
4. Show the exact source amount, expected output, minimum output, fee, slippage, and price impact.
5. Obtain explicit user confirmation.
6. Execute the exact same swap and key with monet_execute_swap.
7. If processing or uncertain, poll monet_get_swap_status. Never submit again under a new key.

Rules:
- Swap amounts are positive integer strings in the source asset's smallest units, not display decimals.
- Pons handles discoverable Robinhood Chain launchpad tokens using the exact returned contract and pool.
- Relay handles major assets and supported custom-token routes across Base, Solana, Robinhood Chain, BNB Chain, and HyperEVM.
- MCP swaps do not allow arbitrary recipients or withdrawals.
- Never request or expose wallet private keys, provider credentials, or treasury signing material.
